He added that Sardar Patel gave us an India where, despite diversity, the spirit of unity prevails. “Every citizen of the country remains indebted to him for this invaluable contribution.” The Chief Minister urged the youth to draw inspiration from Sardar Patel’s ideals and contribute to the nation’s all-round development. He said this occasion also inspires us to dedicate ourselves to the service of the nation.
The Chief Minister further said that the year 2025 marks the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a moment of great pride and inspiration for the entire nation. Sardar Patel’s message of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” (One India, Great India) continues to hold timeless relevance even today. 
Meanwhile, Ekta Nagar in Gujarat will witness a grand celebration on October 31, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the National Unity Day event, which pays tribute to the Iron Man of India and his vision of a united nation. 
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary is celebrated as National Unity Day, also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, on October 31. Since 2014, this day has been marked by ‘Run for Unity’ events nationwide, which are participated in by people from all walks of life. 
Born on October 31, 1875, in Nadiad, Gujarat, Sardar Patel is credited with uniting all 562 princely states of pre-independent India and with helping establish the Republic of India.
